Precaution of use.

To make best use of your fireplace with ethanol, here are some advices (not exhaustive):

Before the first use of your fireplace with bio-ethanol, it is imperative to read and follow all instructions shipped with the fireplace.

Your fireplace should be placed, once unwrapped, in a normally ventilated with an air inlet and outlet sufficiently effective air (minimum area of + / - 50cm ² for each hole).
Verify that no flammable objects are located next (note: curtains, air currents).
If your fireplace is a floor standing model: Make sure the floor is flat, solid and stable.
Also be sure to leave space for a minimum of 3cm from the bottom of the fireplace and the wall.
For a wall mounted fireplace: Use spacers (or rigid insulation, fire retardant), obviating it a few inches of the wall and avoid overheating.
Use appropriate anchors for wall type support and the weight of the fireplace.

Do not put anything on top and on the front surface of the device.
Hold approximately 60cm away from any flammable materials (curtains, curtain, fabrics ...)

For outdoors fireplaces, you must take the same precautions.

Keep away from flammable component, do not lean over, or allow children to approach ...
Furthermore, it may be more appropriate to use the gel ethanol .

Always fill your tank cold.

If you want to reload your bio-ethanol tank, the flame must be strictly off, then you must wait at least 15-20 minutes until the walls and the fireplace to cool before pouring in the new ethanol tank. Do not fill more than three / quarter of the tank. Do not smoke when filling. Clean all spills occurred during the filling before starting. A simple paper towel or dry cloth will do (your rag away from any heat source and clean the water quickly). Depending on the type of container used to burn the ethanol, it may be necessary to change after repeated use. Check them regularly.

The lighting on is done using a long enough wooden match ~ 20cm or with an electrical ignition device, such as "barbecue lighter. The reignition is cold.
To turn off your device, you must use the cover system comes with the fireplace.
If your fireplace does not work, your burner must be empty. Do not let ethanol in your burner off, it is better to burn completely.

An upkeep, cold, and regular of your firebox using a damp sponge is recommended. Do not use detergent. A simple grease remover if needed.

Whether with ethanol fireplace, you should take precautions as with any traditional fireplaces or any appliance that generates heat like barbecue or some type heaters, etc.. It is strongly advised not allow children to lighting on the device themselves, play with it, so it is recommended to put them away when using your fireplace. Use your fireplace less than 8 hours a day seems reasonable.
